I think this might have been one of the first American animated series to have a multi-part arc (intended to be a movie) with Doctor Doom.
Also of note, as the show featured a couple of characters outside Spidey's usual rogues and associates, the Sub-Mariner episode had Namorita. It's funny that Namorita appeared in animation/other media before several more prominent characters, and is pretty much unonown now.
