Very '80s, Very Scary, Chris Claremont's X-Men Movie Pitch
Chris Claremont's pitch for an X-Men film had some surprising choices...and far more Kitty Pryde than Wolverine. I explore his 1982 proposal this week at CBR.
I saw this come up on my Google News feed and only just realized you wrote this! Great review. It's weird to think we almost had this version of the X-Men. Makes me wonder if the writers of the New Mutants movie were inspired by this pitch. Too bad that wasn't a better movie... I just posted this on Gentlemen of Leisure, but I've been a faithful reader of this blog since 2009! Thanks for the excellent reviews. I'm on the lookout for a blog reviewing Mike Carey's run on X-Men Vol. 2 around the time of Messiah Complex. I loved that run and I can't seem to find any blogs reviewing that era (along with Peter David's 2006-2013 X-Factor, which is my favorite comic ever!). Any chance you'll get back to reviewing X-Men titles or just jump to that era? In the meantime, keep it up with the great reviews!

Thanks for the kind words, Brian. I'll say the odds of me reviewing any Quesada-era Marvel books are...slim.
